Joe and Deborah Loughrey Assistant Professor of Economics and Human Development

A member of the Department of Economics and faculty fellow in the Kellogg Institute for International Studies, Professor Johnson specializes in industrial organization, mechanism design, and matching and auction theory, applying tools from these fields to finding solutions for inefficiencies that hinder growth in the markets of developing countries. Professor Johnson has served on Notre Dame's faculty since receiving his Ph.D. from the University of Maryland in 2011, and teaches courses in game theoy and microeconomics.
