Patrick B. O’Donnell Visiting Professor of Irish Studies
The Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies brings top scholars from around the globe to Notre Dame to serve as the Patrick B. O’Donnell Visiting Professor of Irish Studies for one semester or the full academic year. While on campus, the O’Donnell Visiting Professor enriches the University’s academic community by offering lectures and seminars based on their expertise.
Tom (’61) and Kathleen O’Donnell established this professorship in honor of their son Patrick (’99) and Tom’s father, after whom their son is named. Tom previously served as a member of the College of Arts and Letters Advisory Council and is currently a member of the Ireland Advisory Council.
