Viola D. Hank Associate Professor of Management
A member of Notre Dame's faculty since 2007, Corey Angst is the Viola D. Hank Associate Professor of Management and a faculty affiliate with the Shaw Center for Children and Families. He received his Ph.D. in Information Systems from the University of Maryland and his MBA from the University of Delaware, prior to which he worked for 10 years in technical and strategic roles in the private sector, most recently as a consultant for the DuPont Company.
Professor Angst's research focuses on the transformation effect of IT usage and value, as particularly applied to the healthcare industry. He teaches undergraduate courses in project management and problem solving, and graduate courses in the strategic use of IT.
The Hank Professorship was created to honor the mother of three Notre Dame graduates and two Saint Mary’s College graduates. Funding for this chair was spearheaded by Viola’s son, the late Jerry Hank (’51). A former University Fellow and longstanding member of the College of Engineering Advisory Council and the Board of Trustees, Jerry is survived by his wife Joyce.
